It's taken me some years to get to the point where I have accommodation booked in Nashville for one week. In that week (beginning 2nd April 2016) I aim to immerse myself in a city bustling with artists and music.

My dream is to record some songs in Nashville… But… Just getting there has cost me pretty much everything I have (booking the (budget) accommodation almost sent me overdrawn). Hence I am doing my best here to inspire some action from those who would like my music. I’ve found a great studio to record at but I do not have the savings or any big label to fund me.

Basically what I’m saying is I have this amazing opportunity which may well be once in a lifetime and I am looking for support with it from people who would be interested in then receiving the recordings from me in whichever format they desire (though vinyl will be way too expensive unless a hell of a lot of people get on this!!) and pretty much anything else they want from me (musically/artistically!). Maybe you need a personalized song recorded for someone you love or you want me to email you my back catalogue in mp3s… Perhaps you want a house concert at your place or for me to paint you a fairly mediocre picture (people ave been known to put them on their walls)… These things can be made possible depending on what amount you decide on.

I decided the easiest way is to set up a pre-order for the EP I will record. I already decided to record 'Prince of Darkness' and Joy Division’s 'Love Will Tear Us Apart'. If I end up with enough funds I will record more - most likely a version of the song I wrote after my grandfather’s death, ‘Bill’. If I have the chance and money and musicians I may also record a punk/riot grrr song I wrote some years ago called ‘Fuck It All’.

The funding will all happen on my ‘bandcamp’ website because they are THE BEST at not taking a bunch of money off the musicians AND there’s a whole Pay what you want thing going on there so those who do want to contribute a little (or a lot) extra and purchase some of the enticing offers can do that with ease by simply paying extra.
